In Eurocolegio Casvi Boadilla we have celebrated the book day<\/a> with different activities to promote all the benefits of reading to children<\/span>.. Our goal is to make the children realize not only the importance of reading, but all the information they can acquire through them. We also wanted to emphasize the importance of choosing the right book for their age and tastes, as the benefits of reading to children are multiple.<\/p>\n

Benefits of reading to children<\/span><\/h3>\n

  • Reading will bring children new knowledge<\/span>, that is one of its main benefits. To do this they will need to be able not only to read at an adequate speed, but also to comprehend the content. Their acquisition of knowledge in school will depend to a large extent on their reading comprehension.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Reading also helps them improve their attention and concentration<\/span>.<\/li>\n
    • Helps develop critical and creative<\/span>  thinking.<\/li>
    • It increases the  students’ <\/span> vocabulary  and helps to reinforce and improve spelling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

      • It improves students’ communication skills<\/span>, both written and oral, because by gaining more vocabulary and discovering new expressions they will be able to use them in the appropriate context in their daily lives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • It opens the mind to new worlds and new stories, thus developing an open mind<\/span> of the students and improving, as mentioned above, creative thinking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
