One more year, we commemorate the Breast Cancer Day in Casvi Boadilla. The school has been dyed pink and we have carried out different activities adapted to the educational stages of the center. Teachers and students have worn a pink garment or carried a pink ribbon.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

October 19 is a day to raise awareness of the disease and support women who fight against it on a daily basis. It was the World Health Organization (WHO) that established October 19 as the date to celebrate this day, which has been represented by pink ribbons since 1991, when the Susan G. Komen Foundation gave them to the participants of the Marathon for the Cure in New York.<\/p>\n

The<\/span> <\/span>Asociaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola contra el C\u00e1ncer<\/a> <\/span>(AECC)says that it is the leading cause of cancer mortality in women and emphasizes the importance of early detection. They also recommend healthy lifestyle habits, such as a healthy and balanced diet and physical exercise.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t

The youngest students have made a big pink ribbon that they have placed in the corridors of the center to give visibility. Some of them have been made with their hands stamped in pink paint.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, several talks have been held with students of Secondary Education and High School with the intention of:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Recognize the increasing presence of this disease in the world’s population.<\/li>\n
  • Discover in which ways to fight against it (donation, research, support to families, etc.).<\/li>\n
  • Promote solidarity with those affected (patients and their families).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    In addition, the students who wanted to, were able to make their own pink ribbons and put them to decorate each classroom.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
