Experiences and learning in Andorra 2025

Celebramos el Día de la mujer

After a week full of excitement, our students have returned from their trip to Andorra, where they have lived a unique experience, combining outdoor adventures with educational activities. During these days, the students have enjoyed some incredible moments skiing and snowboarding, and have also had the opportunity to explore the environment of Andorra, all within an educational context that has allowed them to apply their learning from the IB programme.

The students have honed their sporting skills, enjoyed the beautiful mountains of Andorra and learnt to cope in a unique natural environment. The outdoor activities have been the perfect setting for teamwork, self-improvement and the application of physical and mental skills that foster the students’ all-round development.

ANDORRA AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Caldea has been one of the activities that our students have been able to carry out during this trip. A thermal centre located near the Valira river, which has helped them to relax and enjoy the thermal waters after a few days of intense sport in the mountains.

In addition, at the hotel itself they have been able to enjoy the jacuzzi and swimming pool facilities on a daily basis, which has been a great way for them to unwind.

The trip also included a day of shopping and sightseeing in the capital, Andorra La Vella, where students practised language and maths, learning about budgets and prices in a real environment.

This experience has allowed them to apply concepts from the IB education programme, such as research and reflection on their cultural and economic environment.

COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATIONAL APPROACH TO THE TRIP TO ANDORRA

This whole experience has been an opportunity to live with classmates from other classes with whom they do not normally share a class, which has allowed them to strengthen bonds and teamwork. This has been key to creating a collaborative environment, where everyone has contributed the best of themselves to make the day to day life more bearable and positive.

Through the activities and projects they carried out, the students have learned not only to work together, but also to respect and value each other’s contributions, developing a sense of unity. The teachers, for their part, have been guides in this process, promoting discipline and mutual respect, creating an environment where everyone, as a community, has worked side by side. In short, this experience has been much more than an academic learning opportunity; it has been a space to strengthen coexistence and mutual respect, making all participants a true community.
