In a small community in northern Peru, where daily life is marked by effort and need, a ray of hope has been shining for more than a decade. This year, the Fundación Casvi commemorates the 17th anniversary of its work in Piura, an initiative that began with an abandoned plot of land and today has become a real driving force for social transformation.
A SOLIDARITY PROJECT IN PERU THAT TRANSFORMS LIVES
The Casvi Foundation in Piura was born in 2007 as a result of the solidarity commitment of the entire Casvi educational community. Since then, it has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life of the people of Piura, one of the most disadvantaged regions in the north of the country.

Thanks to this constant drive, the project has gone from being an idea of solidarity to becoming a benchmark for international collaboration and direct action. Today, its Occupational Training Centre offers daily attention to dozens of people who are struggling to get ahead:
More than 120 lunches and 20 breakfasts are distributed to adults in situations of neglect.
Workshops on baking, cooking, bakery, handicrafts, knitting and dressmaking are offered, mainly for women, under the motto: “Come, learn and create your own business”.
Entrepreneurship, economic autonomy and personal empowerment are encouraged.
NEW CHALLENGES TO CONTINUE GROWING IN PIURA
The commitment of the Foundation Casvi does not stop stop. On this 17th anniversary, the organisation is focused on more projects key to expanding the outreach of its social work, which will enable offer real opportunities of future to those who mostneed it, consolidating education, training and food as fundamental pillars of human development.
This anniversary is more than a celebration: it is a reminder that solidarity can change the world when it becomes constant and committed action.
The Casvi Foundation in Piura is possible thanks to the constant solidarity of the entire educational community. Every year, different initiatives are promoted to raise funds and continue to make this project grow.
One of the most significant of these took place recently during the Casvi Boadilla end-of-year party, in which families, students and staff of the centre participated in a charity raffle. This activity, which has become a tradition, allows us to collect financial contributions that are used entirely to improve the facilities and services of the centre in Peru.
Because every gesture counts. And together, we continue to build a fairer and more humane future, where education and solidarity go hand in hand.
