Children’s graduation: the end of a magical period

The children’s graduation was one of those moments that mark a before and after. In Casvi Boadilla we have experienced a day that has not only celebrated the end of a stage, but has left a deep impression on the entire educational community. What has made this ceremony so special?

EXPOSICIÓN PEP EN PRIMARIA: UN RECORRIDO POR DÉCADAS QUE ENSEÑAN

In our school, we have celebrated the graduation of the 3rd year Infant students, and we have done so with an emotional ceremony that has reflected everything that this stage has meant. The little ones have closed a magical cycle, in which they have learned, played and grown surrounded by affection and dedication.

During the ceremony, Don Ángel, head of studies, and Sandra Reales, stage coordinator, dedicated some heartfelt words to the children. They recognised their evolution, valued their daily effort and highlighted all the moments shared during these important years.

After the presentation of diplomas, the children surprised everyone with an enthusiastically prepared dance. It was an endearing moment that filled everyone with joy and put the finishing touch to the celebration.

The teaching team wanted to highlight not only the academic progress, but also the emotional development and values experienced by the pupils: autonomy, curiosity, friendship and joy have been fundamental pillars of this stage. Because, according to the World Health Organisation, “this period is characterised by rapid growth and is fundamental for cognitive, physical, social and emotional development”.

APRENDIZAJE IB EN ACCIÓN: LA IMPORTANCIA DE EXPONER

La Exposición PEP en Primaria no es solo un evento final, sino una auténtica representación de la filosofía del IB. Es el momento en el que los alumnos se convierten en protagonistas de su aprendizaje, liderando un proyecto que requiere planificación, toma de decisiones, investigación autónoma y colaboración continua.

Al presentar su trabajo ante familias y comunidad educativa, los estudiantes practican habilidades de comunicación efectiva, confianza en sí mismos y pensamiento reflexivo. Además, comprenden la importancia de aprender desde la experiencia, conectando los contenidos curriculares con contextos reales y significativos.

Este tipo de proyectos promueve una mentalidad abierta y el respeto por las perspectivas históricas y culturales, valores esenciales en una educación internacional y globalizada. Los alumnos descubren que el pasado no es solo una serie de fechas, sino un espejo donde entender mejor el presente y actuar de forma más consciente en el futuro.

La Exposición PEP no solo cierra una etapa: abre la puerta a una nueva, con estudiantes más preparados, seguros y comprometidos con su propio proceso de aprendizaje.

The festival of San Isidro is a perfect opportunity to transmit the richness of our traditions and to bring the little ones closer to the culture of Madrid. At Casvi BoadillaSchool, we have turned this celebration into an educational and festive experience that has filled our classrooms and playgrounds with joy.

KNOWING AND VALUING ABOUT MADRID CULTURE : SAN ISIDRO

For several days, the pupils took part in creative workshops and didactic proposals that allowed the children to explore the typical customs of San Isidro. They have designed their own shawls, worked on coordination and rhythm through the chotis dance and got to know some of the most representative traditions of Madrid.

These activities not only encourage creativity, but also help to develop a sense of belonging and respect for cultural heritage. The involvement of teachers and students has been key to creating a festive and enriching atmosphere.

CELEBRATING SAN ISIDRO WITH MUSIC, DANCE AND TRADITIONAL COSTUMES

The most special moment of the week came on the day of San Isidro, when our students , transformed into authentic chulapos and chulapas, danced the chotis that they had practised so hard during the previous days. Dressed for the occasion and with the typical accessories, such as carnations and shawls, they gave us a display of enthusiasm and joy that will always be remembered.

The San Isidro festival in Casvi Boadilla has been much more than a celebration, an opportunity to continue learning through experience, with activities that combine values, artistic expression and knowledge of the cultural environment. An experience full of colour, music and enthusiasm that has united the whole school community. Happy San Isidro!

A Grandparents’ Day full of love and emotion

Grandparents’ Day was celebrated in our Casvi Boadilla school, a day full of emotions and unforgettable moments. Our students enjoyed a unique experience with their grandparents, who were the real protagonists of this special day.

A BREAKFAST FULL OF LOVE TO CELEBRATE GRANDPARENTS' DAY

The celebration began with a delicious chocolate with churros, prepared with love for our elders. It was a perfect occasion for the children to share laughter, anecdotes and endearing moments with their grandparents in a warm and familiar atmosphere. This moment was the beginning of a day that became a true tribute to the figure of grandparents.

THE SPECTACLE OF THE LITTLE ONES ON GRANDPARENTS' DAY

After breakfast, the Infant students offered an emotional show prepared with a lot of effort and dedication. This year, the central theme was the world of musicals. Under the slogan “Singing Dreams”, the little ones dazzled the audience with songs from plays such as Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You, The Sound of Music and Hoy no me puedo levantar.

The show was a resounding success, the result of numerous rehearsals and teamwork, leaving everyone with a smile and, above all, with an indelible memory of Grandparents’ Day.

Throughout the year, our school organizes various activities that allow our students and their families to share experiences, strengthen bonds and create lasting memories. Grandparents’ Day is a clear example of how, at Casvi Boadilla, every event has a purpose beyond fun, contributing to the growth and development of our students and reinforcing the sense of community.

Today, the Casvi Boadilla School has taken another step forward in supporting the vocational guidance of its students with the celebration of the 10th edition of the University Fair. An event that has brought together almost 40 academic institutions, offering students the opportunity to explore their educational options and make informed decisions about their academic and professional future.

UNIVERSITIES PRESENT TO GUIDE STUDENTS INTO THEIR FUTURE

Our Casvi School in Boadilla del Monte has become a key meeting point for students in the 4th year of ESO, 1st and 2nd year of Bachillerato.

Many universities, both public and private, national and international, were present, providing detailed information on academic programmes, scholarships, entry requirements and international exchange opportunities.

The students were able to learn first-hand about the possibilities offered by each institution and resolve doubts about the steps to follow in order to achieve their academic and professional goals.

A COMPREHENSIVE VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE PROGRAMME

The University Fair was not an isolated event, but part of a comprehensive programme of the Vocational Guidance Department that Casvi Boadilla School carries out throughout the school year. St. Patrick arrives with magic and fun!

The St. Patrick’s Day was an unforgettable event at our Casvi school in Boadilla, where the children enjoyed an educational and festive day that combined fun, culture and learning. With activities that have awakened the imagination and the Irish spirit, our students have experienced a day full of surprises, from the creation of cards about the legend of the Leprechaun to exciting games of search. Here’s what a special day was like in our classrooms.

ST. PATRICK: LEARNING AND IRISH MAGIC

In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, the children had the opportunity to explore Irish culture in a playful and educational way. Throughout the day, a variety of activities designed to stimulate creativity, English language learning and teamwork were carried out. From the creation of cards related to St. Patrick’s Day, to fun games that included the search for coins with letters, the children had a unique experience that, in addition to being entertaining, allowed them to learn and enjoy the traditions of Ireland.

Irish music, dancing and the creation of drawings such as the rainbow and the Leprechaun have been key elements that have managed to immerse the children in the magic of this festivity. Thus, every corner of the classroom has been filled with colour, joy and lots of green, making this St. Patrick’s Day a special memory for all students.

SMALL CHANGES, BIG IMPACTS: START WITH YOUR IMMEDIATE ENVIRONMENT

Caring for the environment does not have to be complicated. We often believe that it requires great sacrifices, but the reality is that changing everyday habits can make a difference.

EDUCATING FROM CHILDHOOD: THE KEY ROLE OF SCHOOLS

School is a fundamental place for raising awareness about respect for the environment and developing sustainable habits. Through activities, projects and small daily gestures, children can learn that protecting the planet is part of their lives, not something foreign or distant.

Initiatives such as recycling in the classroom, workshops on climate change, or campaigns to reduce plastic consumption are effective ways to integrate environmental education into the school routine.

Furthermore, linking these actions to specific dates, such as Ozone Layer Day , provides context and depth to the issues. Why must we protect the atmosphere? What are the consequences of excessive car use or aerosol use? Explaining these concepts in a simple way is key to children understanding their importance and acting accordingly.

Our Casvi school in Boadilla celebrated International Women’s Day. We have remembered and paid tribute to all the women who inspire and teach us, day after day, with their strength, dedication and courage. From our mothers and teachers, to our friends and global role models, this 8th March has become a perfect occasion to appreciate the fundamental impact that women have on our lives and on the world.

PROMOTING RESPECT AND EQUALITY

The day was marked by reflective activities that sought to raise awareness among the entire educational community about the importance of recognising inequalities and working towards a more equitable future. Throughout the week, each tutor has prepared activities adapted to the course, with the aim of promoting a critical awareness, through various objectives such as:

Reflect on the inequalities that may still exist towards women in different settings, whether local, national or international. Students have had the opportunity to think about the challenges some women still face and how we can all contribute to creating a more equal environment.
Promote respect and safety for women and girls in all areas. Through the activities, students have reflected on the importance of creating a safe and respectful environment for all people, and how to contribute to preventing any kind of violence or unfair treatment.
Value the presence of women in sectors that have historically been less accessible to them. Students have reflected on how the active participation of women in various areas strengthens society and brings us closer to a more balanced future.
Promote equality and respect for all people regardless of gender. Through various activities, the importance of valuing each individual for his or her ability, regardless of gender, has been highlighted, fostering an inclusive and equitable environment.
